Russia registered its largest-ever monthly grain export figures in March 2002 Market analysts SovEcon Ltd reported that a total of 651 330 tonnes of grain was exported in March, breaking the previous monthly record (set last August) at more than 60 000t.

This brings total grain exports since July 1 last year to more than 39 million tonnes, including 2158mt of wheat and 1696mt of barley.
